What this short section of the Snow Country Trail lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty. Easily done in an an afternoon, this hike only gains about 300 meters in elevation from the trail head to the peak. Most of the work is done by the vehicle that climbs the steep access road that gets you to the start. The trail follows a forestry management access road briefly then dives into thick cedars. Make sure you look back down into the Saragakyo valley before the dense trees obscure your view. After about 20 minutes, the trail eases as it follows the ridgeline. From there it's about and hour or so to the summit.
