Jyuzo is a little restaurant in Kutchan that specializes in Tokyo's famous monjayaki and Kansai's okonomiyaki. The restaurant features tatami matted floor tables complete with hot plates for customers to cook their own monja. If you're not confident in cooking yourself, the friendly staff can also give you a quick lesson. Customers can also watch the staff prepare okonomiyaki and yakisoba noodles on the large hotplate which is in full view of the restaurant. The Japanese menu is quite extensive with a range of monja and okonomiyaki dishes, as well as salads, yakisoba and seafood dishes. I recommend the mixed monja, grilled squid and kimchi salad. Expect to pay 2,000 ~ 3,500 yen per person after drinks. Jyuzo is only open during the summer from 17:30 ~ 23:00 everyday except Tuesday.

The Tastes of Tokyo & Kansai in Kutchan

If you're dining in a group of four, I recommend ordering at least two monja dishes
Cooking monja is quite enjoyable. The restaurant offers instructions in Japanese, and the friendly staff can also cook for you
Jyuzo also specialises in okonomiyaki, the chefs prepare it on a giant hotplate right before your eyes
I highly recommend the grilled squid dish. Just as tasty as it looks
The caesar salad was a great little side dish
Bacon wrapped egg is also another popular and tasty side dish
There is a variety of different monja dishes for your group to enjoy
I recommend the mixed monja which features squid, prawns, pork, beef and vegetables
Kimchi salad side dish was also very tasty and nicely compliments monja
The restaurant features tatami floor and tables, complete with hot plates. There is A/C and fans in the restaurant also to combat the heat generated by the hot plates
You can watch the chefs prepare your okonomiyaka and yakisoba dishes in Jyuzo
Jyuzo is located in the Miyakodori restaurant district of Kutchan

Brilliant! I think I can finish all of them.
Well if you put that much effort into making them, you deserve it!
