Different from the daytime Shoren-in Temple, its beautiful gardens produce a mysterious atmosphere at night. They have a light-up event in spring and autumn. Big camphor trees, fresh bamboo forest, three types of beautiful gardens, and all the wooden buildings are nicely lit up. Walking down the dark wooden corridors, I sat on the floor and looked over the garden. Spring was in the air. All the surroundings emitted a fresh green energy. Shoren-in Temple is a 5-minute-walk from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai subway Line.

How has no one discovered these photos yet? Absolutely beautiful , Tomoko-san! I can sense the wabi-sabi aspect of this place from the first photo!
Thank you Jerome for picking up this article. I enjoyed myself a lot here, both day and night.
